Full Moon across Gemini-Sagittarius: Hurry Up!

On June 9th 2017, at 1:09pm, GMT, there is a Full Moon taking place across the Gemini-Sagittarius axis with the Moon being in the adventurous, journey-loving and philosophical sign of Sagittarius, which implies of course that the Sun is in the opposite sign of Gemini. Similarly to any Full Moon, this one too calls for us to strike the right balance between opposing forces. In this case, striking the right balance is not that difficult because the Gemini-Sagittarius axis, the so-called axis of intellect, is part of the mutable cross. Therefore, it is relatively easy to reach a compromise between learning (Gemini) and teaching (Sagittarius), between gathering (Gemini) and sharing (Sagittarius) information and between covering short (Gemini) and long (Sagittarius) distances through moving and travelling.

Of course, the involvement of Saturn, the only planet that forms an applying aspect with the Full Moon axis (conjunction with the Moon and opposition with the Sun) puts a dampener, creates fatigue and renders travelling and exchange of information highly important. And with Mercury being at a critical degree ruled by Venus, there will be mental anxiety due to uncertainty or insecurity that all this travelling and exchange of information may cause in relationships, alliances and financial decisions. Besides, the Full Moon axis forms difficult aspects with Venus who is also at the Moon’s pure exaltation. This adds extreme value to issues of security, emotional well-being, family and home.

On a positive note, Jupiter, the Full Moon’s dispositor, is about to go back in direct motion and allows for growth and development that may have been denied since the beginning of February. Furthermore, the fact that Jupiter is at a critical degree ruled by the Moon reveals that the period around this Full Moon is very important and beneficial in terms of lunar issues such as those mentioned above (security, emotional well-being, family or home). However, the quincunx formed between Jupiter and Neptune muddles the waters and makes it unclear as to how the growth and favour promised by Jupiter will eventually come to pass.

Additionally, the semi-sextile and quincunx the Full Moon axis forms with Pluto produces additional mental stress and anxiety due to the need for transformation and radical change. Stress is further emphasized by the activation of the Mercury-Mars midpoint by the Lights. If nothing else, one needs to move quickly enough because the doors that Jupiter opens may close soon. Finally, the simultaneous Venus-Mars sextile can give opportunities for conflict resolution even though it may seem difficult to be diplomatic (semi-sextiles with Mercury). In any case, we hope you travel and have a good time under this Full Moon!
